Story

“ONE LUCKY NIGHT”

Nestled in Sukhumvit Soi 14, Bangkok, Thailand, an heir from a Thai-Chinese family and the successor to the “Royaltique” antique furniture shop has revitalized their traditional Shophouse. With a mission to cast old furniture in a new light, the founder combines a passion for cocktails and architectural expertise to create a unique space. This cocktail bar seamlessly blends the charm of the old world with a modern twist, reminiscent of a bat cave but with its distinctive flair.

Philosophy & Design

“ANCIENT MODERNISM”

Bridging eras, this approach intertwines historical and contemporary design, celebrating the fusion of past and present.

“Blessing Shophouse” is a fusion of Eastern design principles and the wisdom of ancestors, merged with modern elements. It honors traditional lucky symbols, enriched by profound mottos that encapsulate the four revered blessings in Chinese culture: happiness, prosperity, longevity, and fortune.

Symbolism

“BAT & BLESSING”

Imagining oneself within the shadows of a bat cave, accentuated by an emblem featuring four bats, this blend gains depth from the phonetic similarity between the Chinese symbols for “bat” and “blessing.” This resonance between wordplay and imagery enhances the venue’s design intent in every aspect, embedding cultural essence into each nuance.

A semi-circular silver adornment suspended from the glass ceiling beyond the Moon Gate casts a striking circular reflection, infusing the space with a sense of unity and completeness through the concept of spheres while subtly enriching the atmosphere with layered meaning.
